The Light Self-Assessment

A structured mirror for how you lead across the seven domains that separate great technologists from great technology leaders. Not a test with a pass mark — a quick map of where your strengths sit and where development will have the most leverage.

This is the free, 50-statement version built for readers of Invisible — a shorter cut of the full Innovant assessment. It reflects your own view of how you lead. That view is valuable — and it is only one angle. Read your results as a starting point for reflection, never as a verdict on your worth or your future. The full instrument, a 360 view from colleagues, and a coaching conversation go considerably deeper.

      How to hold this

A self-assessment measures perception — how you currently see yourself. That is genuinely useful, and it has a known blind spot: the areas we develop least are often the ones we see least clearly. Treat a low score as an invitation to look closer, not a confirmation of a weakness.

This Light version covers 50 of the 222 statements in the full Innovant assessment. The natural next steps are the full self-assessment, a 360 — the same domains seen through the eyes of the people around you — and a debrief conversation that turns this map into a plan. That's how the Innovant framework is designed to be used, and how it connects to the ideas in Invisible.
